Dr Mudasir Bhat, a Post Doctorate in Criminal Law from School of Legal Studies, Central University of Kashmir, sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi, has worked on the research area "An Analytical Study of Prosecution System in the State of Jammu and Kashmir." Looking at his academic trajectory, Dr Bhat did a Bachelor's degree in Sciences (Botany, Chemistry and Zoology) from S.P. College, Srinagar, LL.B from University of Kashmir. During LL.B programme he has been selected among meritorious candidates to participate in the One Month Internship Programme from 15th May to 14th June 2007, at National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi. He has done LL.M with specialisation in Criminal Justice System and PhD in the same from the Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Briefly, after completing a Master's degree in Criminal Law, he has qualified UGC NET/JRF. He has also done Diploma in Forensic Science and Criminology (DFSC) from Department of Anthropology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, secured the first position and was awarded the certificate of merit in 64th Annual Convocation of the Panjab University. Having a keen interest in emerging fields of law, he has completed three Certificate Courses viz. Certificate Course in Cyber Laws (CCL) from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi; Certificate Course in Medical Laws (CML) from Institute of Medicine and Law, Mumbai; and Certificate Course in Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR) from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He is an active member of six (6) Learned Societies and Associations. He has two (2) books to his credit viz. Emerging Dimension of Human Trafficking [ISBN: 978-93-85618055] and Jammu & Kashmir Civil Service (Judicial) Competitive Examinations, Mains Papers with Suggested Answers [ISBN: 978-93-81108-81-9]. He has contributed more than twelve (12) research articles in different, and UGC recognised Journals and Magazines of the country and framed E-Content study material for Kashmir University and Central University of Kashmir on different topics viz., Law of Crimes, Consumer Protection, and Criminal Justice Administration. He also participated and presented research papers in more than thirty-eight (38) International and National Seminars/Conferences. He has also participated in eight (08) workshops and Capacity Building Training Programmes. His areas of interest are Criminal Law (Substantive and Procedural) Criminology and penology, Juvenile Justice, Laws on Women and Children and Forensic Science in criminal trials.
