Nitin Katake is serving as an Assistant Professor at Department of Mathematics, Central University of Kashmir.His Teaching positions have also included Lecturer at University of Mumbai(2008-2009); Assistant Professor at Kishinchand Chellaram College, Churchgate, Mumbai(2010-2012);Assistant Professor at Elphinstone Governmnet College, Mumbai(2012-2013)- the positions in which he achieved very good experience of teaching to undergraduate and post graduate students of Mathematics including the participation at various national and local Workshops , Seminars. He has attended Visiting Students Study Programme at Harish Chandra Research Institute, Allahabad, India during June 2005.He Attended seminar in Bio-Informatics and participated at MINITAB and Research methodology programme organised by Elphinstone Government College. He has Interacted with Nobel Laureates at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad during December 2009.He has also attended some ESE Workshops conducted by the Central University of Kashmir. He has Attended National Conference in Discrete Mathematics at University of Mumbai during February 2011. He has Participated in Teachers Enrichment Programme at Indian Institute of Technology , Bombay and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research , Mumbai during August 2012 and February 2016. He has Co authored Textbooks for M.Sc and B.Sc Maths level for courses of Complex Analysis, Discrete Mathematics, Number theory published by Institute of Distance and Open Learning , University of Mumbai during the years 2011-2013. He Acted as a Resource Person at NET Workshop organised by RGCCS, University of Mumbai 30, 31 July 2011. He has taught M.Sc students through Personal Contact Programme organised by IDOL, University of Mumbai.He was in possession of Merit Scholarship of University of Mumbai , Maharashtra State Dakshina Scholarship , Dr.Ambedkar Memorial Cash Prize.He bagged first prize in Mathematics Exhibition on "Brachistochrone Problem " at Bandodkar College. He also participated at Poster Competition on "Fermat last theorem" at Royal College.He worked as an active memebr of NSS group at Kelkar College. Nitin A .Katake received his B.Sc. from University of Mumbai in 2005, an M.Sc. from University of Mumbai in 2007 and he qualified CSIR NET in 2006.His Areas of interests are Graph Theory and Topology.
