Ms Tahira Khatoon Assistant Professor

Ms Tahira Khatoon is an Assistant Professor, Department of Politics and Governance at Central University of Kashmir. She has previously taught at Maitreyi College (2015-2017) and Kalindi College (2015) in University of Delhi. She graduated in Political Science (Honours) from Miranda House, University of Delhi (2011). She completed her Masters in Political Science from Centre for Political Studies (CPS), Jawaharlal Nehru University (2013). She submitted her MPhil Dissertation titled ‘Analyzing Autonomy and Liberty through the Relational Approach’ in CPS, JNU (2015). Her publications include ‘Performing the Body: Citing Sex/Gender’, ‘Spectral Chains of Oppression’ and ‘Paradox of National Security’. Her research interests lie in Political Philosophy and Feminist Theory. She is currently working on 'Mapping the Changing Contours of the Concept of Privacy' for her PhD from CPS, JNU. She teaches papers on Political Theory, Indian Government and Politics.
