Dr. Arshid Iqbal Dar has pursued his masters in political science from the Department of Political Science, University of Kashmir from 2011 to 2013 and completed his PhD from the same department in 2019. The topic of his PhD work entitled as Realignment and Changing Power Structure in South Asia: A Study of India’s Assertion for Regional Dominance. Besides, qualifying NET, SET and JRF, he has been awarded the Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) by UGC and has been a Senior Research Fellow for two years. The area of specialization includes International Politics, Theories of IR, Foreign Policy of India and India’s Regional diplomacy in South Asia. Arshid has published more than 15 research papers in various UGC recognized and other reputed journals including Asian Affairs as well as various book chapters in edited volumes. He has also participated in more than dozen national and international conferences and presented his research arguments all across the country. Before, joining Central University of Kashmir, he has taught two papers at University of Kashmir in the Department of Political Science, Foreign Policy of Major Powers and Peace and Conflict Resolution and later on joined Cluster University of Srinagar till September 5 2020.
