About the Section
The Central University of Kashmir has, among other sections, a full fledged Transport Section, which performs the following functions:
- Provides to and fro transport facility to the students of the University who apply for the same for attending their classes in various campuses of the University on payment of nominal fee.
- Provides transport facility to the Boys and Girls hostel boarders.
- Provides transport facility to the Hon’ble Guests who visit different Campuses of University in connection with Academic programmes from time to time.
- Provides transport facility to the Deans/Teachers for attending the various meetings in the University.
The University transport section is presently functioning from Transit Campus Sonwar Srinagar. It has presently six (06) vehicles of different types. The increasing demands purchase of vehicles is already in the pipeline.
