Economic & Political Weekly (EPW), published by the Sameeksha Trust, a registered charitable trust since 1949, is one of the Indian publications that enjoy a global reputation for excellence and scholarship. It occupies a special place in the intellectual history of independent India. It publishes analysis of contemporary affairs and academic papers in the social sciences. The focus of the EPW is economic issues, but it is truly a multidisciplinary publication covering sociology, political science, history, gender and environment studies. Emerald Publishing (UK) is reputed scholarly publisher of journals, books, reference works and case studies in the fields of Management / Business Strategy / HR / Operations / Logistics / Engineering / Quality / Finance / Economics / Marketing / Built Environment / Hospitality Management / Public Policy / LIS / Education. Central University of Kashmir offers online access to more than 312 journals. It also offers perpetual access to 250 case studies published in the year 2011 and 2012. Published as a part of Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies (EEMCS). The Case studies focuses on business decision making and management development throughout key global emerging markets.

 

EPWRF India Time Series is a unique online database with its comprehensive coverage of Indian economy for a fairly long time period and it comprises over 50,000 variables capsuled in 18 modules. The database tries to provide in continuous time series from 1950 depending on the availability.

The Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID), a sponsored institution of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), is a public-funded, non-commercial research and development institution in social science. ISID was set up as an independent organization to carry on the work initiated by the Corporate Study Group (CSG), at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, during the early ‘eighties. ISID has developed databases on various aspects of the Indian economy, particularly concerning industry and the corporate sector. It has created On-line Indexes of Indian Social Science Journals (OLI) and Press Clippings on diverse social science subjects. It provides access to Indexes of 125 Indian Social Science journals and major newspaper articles, editorials and news features.

 

J-Gate Custom Content for Consortium (JCCC) is a virtual library of journal literature created as a customized e-journals access gateway and database solution. It acts as a one point access to 7900+ journals subscribed currently under e-Shodh Sindhu consortium as well as university libraries designated as Inter Library Loan (ILL) Centers besides index to open access journals. INFLIBNET has identified 22 potential universities as ILL Centers in the country to fulfill ILL request from the users affiliated to universities covered under e-Shodh Sindhu Consortium. JCCC has facility to trigger e-mail request for article to Inter Library Loan Centers as well as to INFLIBNET Centre.

 

JSTOR is a digital archive of scholarly contents founded in 1995. In 2009, JSTOR merged with and became a service of ITHAKA, a not-for-profit organization helping the academic community use digital technologies to preserve the scholarly record and to advance scholarship and teaching in sustainable ways. Currently, there are more than 2500 titles, including previous titles, as well as other content available. New titles and other materials are being added regularly. Through the arrangements of e-Shodh Consortium, CUK Central Library offers access to the following JSTOR collections: Art & Sciences I–XII, Life Sciences, Ireland, Ecology & Botany II, Global Plants, 19th-Century British Pamphlets, Struggles for Freedom: Southern Africa, World Heritage Sites: Africa, Business IV.

 

LexisNexis is an academic database in field of legal studies. Central University of Kashmir provides access to its 500+ legal news sources & magazines; 700+ International Law Reviews & Journals; Legislation & Case law from US, UK, EU, Australia, South-East Asia; Curated Indian Case law and Legislations; Madras Law Journal & Labour Law Journal; Indian Commentaries and Legal Dictionaries.

 

Manupatra is an Indian legal information resource and an aggregator of Indian and International material, linking primary information, secondary material and proprietary analytical content. It is designed to be used by a wide variety of users across Legal, Educational, Finance, Tax, Accounting, Corporate, Risk Management, Banks, Consulting, Government, Law Enforcement, Intellectual Property, Media markets and others.

MathSciNet® is an authoritative indexing and abstracting database developed by American Mathematical Society. It contains almost 3 million items and over 1.7 million direct links to original articles. Bibliographic data from retro-digitized articles dates back to the early 1800s. Reference lists are collected and matched internally from approximately 550 journals, and citation data for journals, authors, articles and reviews is provided.

Oxford Journals is a division of Oxford University Press, which is a department of Oxford University. It publish well over 230 academic and research journals covering a broad range of subject areas, two-thirds of which are published in collaboration with learned societies and other international organizations. OUP collections cover Life Sciences, Mathematics & Physical Sciences, Medicine, Social Sciences, Humanities, and Law, and include some of the most authoritative journals in their fields. Through the arrangements of e-Shodh Consortium, CUK Central Library offers access to 262 Oxford University Press journals with archival access from 1996.

South Asia Archive (SAA): South Asia Archive contains more than 4.5 million pages spanning the period of 18th and mid-20th century from documents across the Indian subcontinent, including India, Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

Springer is the leading global scientific publisher, delivering quality content through innovative information products and services.  It publishers high quality content in various formats like books, journals, newsletters, CD-ROMs, online platforms, protocols, databases and conferences. It publishers some 2,000 journals and more than 6,500 new book titles every year in the STM sector; backlist of more than 45,000 titles. The coverage of the content is in six main publishing fields: science, technology, medicine, architecture, business and transport. Through the arrangements of e-Shodh Consortium, CUK Central Library offers access to more than 1400 journals with archival access from 1997.

 

Taylor & Francis Group publishes more than 1600 journals in different subject fields of Arts & Humanities, Sciences, and social Sciences. It is a widely known publisher among researchers, students, academics and increasingly professionals. Through eSS Consortium, Central University of Kashmir offer access to more than 1080 journals with archival access to 1998 onwards issues.

Web of Science is one of the leading indexing and abstracting database of scholarly literature. It indexes more than 10,000 reputed and peer-reviewed journals that are published in over 45 different languages across all the fields of Sciences, Social Sciences, and Arts & Humanities. Through eShodh Sindhu Consortium, CUK have access to contents indexed in Web of Science in the latest 20 years.

 

WestLaw India contains an ever expanding collection of case law that is updated daily. Alongside Indian case law, it also includes case law materials from the UK, EU, United States and other Commonwealth jurisdictions. Westlaw India contains over 300,000 full-text decisions from 20 high courts. Coverage starts from 1886 and case headnotes are included for a large number of editorially selected judgments.

World e-Book Library (WeL): The World e-Book Library including 3 million (30,00,000) primary sources spanning past 1,000 years of world history in more than 320 different languages. In addition, contemporary journal collections of WeL include scholarly journals and academic articles from every academic field.
