Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) is an authortative directory of scholary journals avaialbe freely on the web. At present, DOAJ indexes more than 9790 journals which are published from around 123 countries almost coverning all the subjects.

The Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB) is a discovery service for Open Access monographs and a metadata dissemination service. DOAB provides a searchable index to peer-reviewed monographs and edited volumes published under an Open Access business model, with links to the full texts of the publications at the publisher’s website or repository.

Project Gutenberg offers free online access to more than 54 thousand books pertained to different fields of Science, Social Science, and Humanities.

OpenDOAR maintains a comprehensive and authoritative list of institutional and subject-based repositories. In addtion to list respositries, it offers single-window access to more than 2600 academic repositories.

The Judgments Information system (JUDIS) consists of the Judgments of the Supreme court of India and several High Courts. In the case of the Supreme Court all reported Judgments which are published in SCR Journal, since its inception i.e. 1950 till date are available. The Judgments reported in SCR till 1993 also have head-notes. The judgments reported in SCR in 1994 and later have only text of judgments with out head-notes.
The National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is free elearning initiative of seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee) and the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.Funded by Minsistry of Human Resource Development (India), it offer free online courses and coursewares in the fields of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences & Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management, Mathematics, Mechnical Engineering, and Physics. Students are offered NPTEL online cerfication after the successful completion of courses so as to students empolyable in the industry or pursue a suitable higher education programme.
