Since its inception in 2009, the CUK Library System endeavours to cater the information and learned needs of its users. The library is located in all the campuses where it sharing physical space with other departments.

I. Campus Libraries
At present, the CUK Library System offers services to its clientele at different campuses, which include 
a) Green Campus, Saloora, Ganderbal (Central Library)
b) Arts Campus, Duderhama Ganderbal,
c) Science, Nuner, Ganderbal,
d) Main Campus, Tulmulla, Ganderbal, and 
e) Department of Law, Main Campus, Ganderbal. 

II. Print Resources Collection
The library collection includes both print and online resources ranging from text book collection in print and online format to the journal collections in online mode. As of 31 March 2022, the library has collection of more than 53,000 volumes of print books.

III. Online Resources Collection
(1) e-Books

The library offers access to 2436 online books published in different fields of Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, by the following publishers:

Through the arrangements of e-Shodh Sindhu Consortium (UGC) and via institutional subscription, access to the following online journals / academic databases are offered to the users

In addition, the library offers access to databases, like: South Asia Archive and Institute for Studies in Industrial Development (ISID).

IV. Services
(a) Book Loan Service
The Library offers book service to its clientele which include students, research scholars, faculty members, and other administrative staff of the University. Duration and the number of books that users can avail on loan varies amongst different type of users.

b) Remote Access facility
CUK Library System offers remote access facility to its online resources and services so that its bonafide clientlee can can access these resources from anywhere and at any time

(c) Inter-library Loan Services
Library offers two types of interlibrary loan services:
1) Document Delivery Services: For users who are in need of book(s) not available in our collections, the library can request the same from other libraries of India. Central University of Kashmir has an institutional membership of Developing Library Network (DELNET), New Delhi.
2) Article Delivery Service: Despite of offering access to more than 7000 journals, users still need journal articles that are beyond the access entitlement of our journal collection. In order to remain relevant to our users, the library avails the delivery services of eShodh Sindhu consortium – JCCC@eShodh Sindhu

(d) Internet Service
CUKLS has well-developed Browsing Centre of 60 workstations with high speed Internet connectivity. All the campuses are wifi-enabled and users have unlimited access to web resources with minimal restriction to access any type of resource format, i.e., they can access text, video, podcast or any other available content format.

(e) Members of Allama Iqbal Library, University of Kashmir
Central University of Kashmir has signed MOU with Allama Iqbal Library, University of Kashmir for access and use of information resources and services of Allama Iqbal Library (Central Library), University of Kashmir by the bonafide clientele of Central Library, Central University of Kashmir.

V. Institutional Membership of learned bodies
The library has the institutional membership of three national-level organisations
a) eShodh Sindhu Consortium
The library is part of eShodh Sindhu Consoritum, a national level consortium of higher educational institutions affiliated with University Grants Commissions.
b) DELNET, New Delhi
The library has an institutional membership of Developing Library Network (DELNET). In addition to other services, it facilitates the interlibrary document delivery service amongst its institutional library members.
c) ShodhGanga
ShodhGanga a national level initiative of Information Library Network (INFLIBNET), Ahmedabad offers centralized online theses hosting facility to higher education institutions of India. Education institutions can deposit a copy of PhD/Mphil theses produced in these institutions in ShodhGanga to showcase and enhance the visibility of their respective research activities.
d) Allama Iqbal Library, University of Kashmir
Central University of Kashmir has institutional membership with Allama Iqbal Library, University of Kashmir.

VI. Library Automation
To offer computer-aided operations and services to its clientele, the library makes use of SOUL 2.0 Software suite. The library is near to realize the dream of fully-automated library operations and services. Users will check-in or check-out books with barcode enabled circulation section and will also browse the library collection or their respective library accounts from anywhere and at anytime.

VII. Library Catalogue
Catalogue of Library holdings is available online. Anybody having access to the internet can search the catalogue from anywhere and at any time. In addition to know what is available in the Library, registered Library users can check their library account to verify which books are currently on loan to them, their respective due dates, overdue charges, if any, and alike.

VIII. SMS Alerting Service
CUKLS introduced SMS Alerting Service to keep library users aware of their library transactions. Whenever a book is issued to a Library user, he/she receives an SMS intimating about the transaction with information about the date when the issued book is due to be returned to the library.

IX. Anti-Plagiarism Policy
CUKLS believe in the strict adherence to research integrity and honesty, and believes in zero tolerance to plagiarism. CUKLIS has subscription to both Tunitin and Urkund, web-based similiarity detection services. Research theses and dissertations are now thoroughly examined to minimize plagiarism incidences.
