July 26, 2022 - A Special session was held in collobaration with the Srinagar Chapter of Cost Accountants on the theme "Career Appreciation". CMA Bashir Masoudi graced the occasion and enlightened the students about the perks skill courses had to offer.

August 08, 2022- The department conducted a special lecture on the topic " Impact of British Rule on Trade and Commerce in India" Under AKMA programme  at IQAC Hall Green Campus, Dr Arshid Ahmad Assistant professor, Department of P&G  delivered an extensive lecture on theme and elightened the audience about the worst impact of British Rule on indian Trade and Commerce. Head of the Department, Dr Mehraj ud din Shah earlier welcomed the guests and briefed the audience about the policies of Britishwith regards to the usage and extraction of resources and other related matters. Dr Asif Khan conducted the proceedings of the session while Dr Rizwana presented the vote of thanks

October 27, 2022- In order to give an exposure to the students about various domains of the entrepreneurship and business, the Department of Commerce, Central University of Kashmir, Ganderbal today on 27th October 2022 arranged a field trip for its 3rd semester students to Sagg Eco Village Watlar. The students were flagged off by the Prof. M.Afzal Zargar worthy Registrar Central University of Kashmir, and Dr Mehraj-ud-Din Shah Head Department of Commerce. The worthy registrar speaking on the occasion advised the students that, this trip is very significant for you in the sense to understand how the entrepreneur has used the local resources to establish the eco-friendly park which also depicts host of the other entrepreneurial opportunities. Now it all depends to what extend you are able to draw ideas from such entrepreneurial visits. He further advised the students to take full advantage of this to know more and more about the opportunities and challenges of entrepreneurs in the UT of J&K. He also advised the Head Department of Commerce to undertake more and more such outreach programmes which give practical orientation to students to gain added knowledge about entrepreneurship activities. Earlier, Dr Mehraj-ud-Din Shah Head Department of Commerce explains the objectives of such field trips. The students were accompanied by the faculty members of the Department. The coordinator of Sagg Eco Village explained the students how the Sagg Village was started and took them around the various entrepreneurial units including natural herb garden, fruit cultivation orchid, cereal cultivation unit, poultry raising unit and Sagg restaurant. They showed how the various domestic items like tyres, bottles etc were recycled and used for other useful purposes. The founder of the Sagg Village Mr Fayaz Ahmad Dar briefed the students as how he established the Sagg Village and students got seriously engrossed with the establishment of Sagg Village. The students were seriously impressed and were convinced that local resources have significant potential to be used for many other alike and different entrepreneurial units. The students were highly impressed and have expressed their intentions to establish somewhat distant and similar other units in their localities.

December 01, 2022-Continuing our efforts to facilitate activities/events in order to give wide exposure to our students, the department of Commerce, Central University of Kashmir arranged a visit to J&K Bank Depository (Hazratbal branch) for M.COM 3rd semester students. The students got the first hand experience relating to the Financial Services & other domains relating to share trading and stock market.

The students found the visit an insightful and wonderful experience and raised their queries with the J&K Bank officials very keenly. The department remains thankful to the University authorities, its students and J&K bank officials for making the event hassle free and memorable event.
