The department of commerce was established in the year 2017. The department is a  vital part of school of business studies. The department has a vision to “strive hard to be recognized as a leading centre of commerce education in India that provides intellectual leaders capable of being successful entrepreneurs and professionals in ever-changing markets”. At present, the department offers two year full time Masters in commerce  programme. The Department also offers   research (Phd)  programme with effect from 2021 . Till date, the Department has produced three batches of students many of whom are working at different positions in varied corporate houses across the country and some of the students have emerged as entrepreneurs and have established their own business enterprises.
