Department of Kashmiri, Central University of Kashmir Ganderbal inaugurated Habba Khatoon Online Extension Lecture Series on 23/06/2021. The series will continue Till 09/07/2021. The Inaugural session was presided over by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Central University of Kashmir Prof. Mehraj Ud Din Mir Sahib and was graced by guest of Honor Registrar Central University of Kashmir Prof. Mohd Afzal Zargar Sahib. The session was attended by a galaxy of distinguished guests from various quarters. Prof. Shafi Shauq, former Head Department of Kashmiri, Dean Arts & Languages University of Kashmir, presided over as a guest speaker. However, the session began with the beautiful poetry of Janbaz Kishtwari, which was performed by one of the students of the Department of Kashmiri Central University of Kashmir Ganderbal, Bilquis Bashir. Afterwards, the coordinator Department of Kashmiri Central University of Kashmir Dr Irfan Aalam formally welcomed all the guests and students. In his welcome address, he introduced Prof. Shafi Shauq as an eminent educationist who has achieved laurels and contributed immensely to Kashmiri Language and Literature. He also complimented Prof. Shafi Shouq for choosing a pertinent topic. Then, the session became more interesting as Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor applauded faculty and students of the Department of Kashmiri, Central University of Kashmir, for their dedication and passion. He further accentuated that establishing the Department of Kashmiri was a historical Decision to preserve and promote Kashmiri Language, culture and traditions. He assured that Such Extension lectures would continue to be held in future. This was followed By the insightful words of Registrar Central University of Kashmir Prof. Mohd Afzal Zargar Shb, who put forth His appraisal for the Initiative taken by the Department of Kashmiri to promote and develop interest. He assured every possible support for the betterment and progress of the Department of Kashmiri. Furthermore, he said that these extension lectures are expected to be of great help.
