Introduction


The Centre for Advanced Research & Training in Sciences (CARTS) was established in Year 2019. The centre was establish with an aim to promote ground-breaking research with international status. The overall goal of the CARTS is to focus on the elucidation of the sophisticated and complex regulatory mechanisms of living organisms for the benefit of human kind through departmental collaborations. The research centre will frame the plans and measurable goals to meet the stated objectives.

Purpose: Establishment of a Research & Training Centre for interdisciplinary cooperation.

Objective and Significance: 

  • Promotion of collaborative and multi-disciplinary research among different departments within and outside the University.
  • To stimulate novel ideas and innovative approaches for the improvement of local needs in health and other sectors.
  • Contribute to the University’s mission of improving research standards within the campus and enhance the NIRF/other rankings. 
  • Mobilize, transport and translate knowledge gained through research for the benefit of the society.
  • Provide high end research training to graduate and undergraduate students of Central University of Kashmir to encourage research based learning.
  • To generate skilled human resource within the university by organizing short term training courses.     
  • To promote the translation of research into creation of effective Start-ups. This center will serve as incubation space for promotion of Start-Ups.
  • The centre shall ultimately contribute as revenue generator for the University by filing of patents from innovative research.
