CUK V-C inaugurates 2-day training prog for admn staff
Srinagar, May 14: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj udDin today inaugurated the 2-day training programme on excellence in educational management organised by the varsity for its administrative staff at Sonwar Transit campus here.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Controller of Examination, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, HRM Expert, Dr. Sharad Singh and Prof. Sunita Koul Zalpuru of IMPA (Jammu) were among others present on the occasion.
Prof. Mehraj udDin in his inaugural address described the administrative staff as the backbone of the University set up and underscored the need of conducting frequent capacity building programmes for their holistic development. “Without their contribution, the University can’t march ahead and achieve its set goals,” Prof. Mehraj udDin remarked, adding that such programmes should be conducted after every two months so that the employees get benefitted by the training and can further improve their working in different capacities.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, asked the participants to enhance their capacities and capabilities to give their best to the system. “The training programme would strengthen their abilities which would have direct bearing on the delivery and functioning of the varsity in all aspects,” Prof. Zargar said adding that these capacity building programmes are imperative to upgrade the knowledge and working capacity of employees. He asked the participants to constantly interact with the experts in order to imbibe more from the training programme.
Controller of Examination, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, asked the participants to get fully benefited from the training programme and implement the same in their working.
Senior administrative officers and other officials of the varsity were also present.
Later, HR Expert, Dr. Sharad Singh and Prof. Sunita Koul Zalpuru gave detailed presentations about the ways and methods to enhance the working capacity and improve inter and intra personal relationships.
