Prof. Aima interacts with CUK’s research scholars
Srinagar, July 28: Central University of Jammu, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ashok Aima Tuesday interacted with the research scholars of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) at its Nowgam campus.
He advised the scholars to focus on valid and original arguments in their research studies. He also cautioned against the practice of plagiarism in research. “It kills your intellectual ability,” Prof. Aima said.

He said the research should be based on logical essence. “Banking, insurance and health are the dominant areas in social research pursued in Kashmir,” he said, adding that research should not be repetitive.
“Review of literature is important part of the research as it is only through this that we come to know about the gap in research on which we can base our study.”
CUK, officiating Vice Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj-udDin expressed gratitude to Prof. Aima for his insightful remarks. Pertinently, CUK’s Department of Economics is currently holding a 7-day training programme on research methodology for the research scholars of the varsity.
Dean School of Social Sciences, Prof. G M Bhat also spoke on the occasion.
