Panel discusses campus construction at G’bl
Srinagar, Apr 6: The Sub-Committee set up by the University Building Committee (UBC) of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) to discuss the matter with regards to the ongoing construction of the permanent campus of the varsity at Ganderbal held its first meeting here Monday.
The meeting was chaired by former Chief Engineer R&B, Mr. Muhammad Amin Nowsheri and was attended by officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj udDin, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Finance Officer/CoE, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, former Chief Architect, Mr. Muneer Ahmad Khan, Executive Engineer (R&B) Ganderbal, Er. Sami Arif, Prof. Abdul Rashid Dar from NIT Srinagar, Mr. Muhammad Rafi, representative of NBCC (PMC), Er. Barkat Hussain, Geotech Expert, Er. Dheeraj Kumar, Superintendent Engineer and Er.S.P Singh, Executive Engineer, CPWD, Er. Bilal Ahmad, Assistant Engineer, NBCC and others.
The participants discussed the issues confronting the construction agency threadbare and sought further reports and technical details from the agencies working on the prestigious project.
Earlier, the officiating Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mehraj udDin and Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar apprised the participants about the status of the ongoing work.
Meanwhile, the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj udDin today chaired an interactive session of all the Deans, Heads and Coordinators on “effective implementation of Choice Based Credit System” in the University.
Dean School of Management, Dr. Abdul Gani gave a detailed presentation on the CBCS, which was then discussed threadbare by the participants.
