Srinagar, Sept 17: A meeting of the alumni of the Department of Mathematics was held in the office of Dean School of Physical and Chemical Sciences, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) here Sunday.

The meeting was presided over by the Dean, Prof. Wali Mohammad Shah. Several alumni of the Department participated in the meeting and shared their experiences.

They gave many suggestions for improving the Department and the University as a whole. The meeting was attended by the Coordinator, Department of Mathematics, Dr. Aftab Hussain Shah and other faculty members, including Mr. G. M. Sofi, Mr. S A Ahangar, Mr. N. A. Katake and Dr. B. A. Chat.

Dr. Aftab thanked the former students of the Department for attending the meeting. He assured them about all possible academic support from the Department for the Competitive exams like NET etc. He advised them to attend the academic progammes to be organized by the Department in future and assured them that their suggestions will be considered with an open mind.
