Joint Secretary MHRD interacts with CUK faculty
Srinagar, May 9: Joint Secretary (CU&L), Department of Higher Education, MHRD, Mr. Jagmohan Singh Raju today had an interaction with the faculty of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) at its Zainakote academic block.
Officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj-ud-Din, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments and other administrative heads were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Jagmohan Singh Raju deliberated upon the role of the Central Universities in disseminating the Higher Education in the country. He underscored the need of imparting quality education to the students getting admission in the courses offered by the Central University of Kashmir. Mr. Jagmohan Singh Raju also deliberated on the important role of faculty members in preparing the students for the upcoming challenges in the competitive fields. Mr. Jagmohan Singh also responded to many queries related to the academic, administrative, besides service matters of the CUK employees.
Earlier, officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj-ud-Din briefed the visiting officer about the present functioning of the varsity from three different locations. He said the construction on the University at its designated campus in Ganderbal has been initiated and soon the varsity shall start operating from the Ganderbal site itself. He also informed the visiting joint secretary about the measures initiated by the University to reach to the society.
