CUK V-C interacts with students of innovative in Science progs
Srinagar, Sept 1: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din today interacted with the students admitted to the newly launched integrated B.Sc-M.Sc Science programmes of the varsity at Science block at Sonwar campus.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Coordinators of respective departments were also present on the occasion.
Welcoming the students, Prof. Mehraj ud Din asked them to remain punctual in classes and maintain utmost discipline in and outside the varsity. “You should work hard and frequently interact with the faculty members to gain more and more knowledge on the concerned subjects,” Prof. Mehraj ud Din said. He asked the students to also use internet and other Information & Technology mediums to gain additional information.
He said the University despite having constraints on infrastructural front, has maintained good academic output due to its valued faculty. “The faculty is mix of young and experienced teachers who shall be imparting the education and moral values to the students,” Prof. Mehraj ud Din said adding the University would try to provide all the requisite facilities to the students.
Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar while addressing the students, gave a detailed resume about the functioning of the University and ongoing construction of the permanent campus of the varsity at Ganderbal. He said the University was marching ahead on academic front. “The introduction of integrated science courses has been a huge achievement for the University and has received tremendous appreciation from various sections of the society including educationists,” he said adding that the University was making every effort to come up to the expectation of the students and other stakeholders.
The Coordinators of respective Science departments also spoke on the occasion and exhorted upon the students to go for in-depth and exhaustive study in their respective subjects.
Meanwhile, IGP (CID), Mr. Abdul Gani Mir Tuesday examined the findings of an academic report of an L.L.M scholar, Ms. Nadish Yousuf on the topic, “Police-Public Relationship: A socio-legal study with special reference to district Anantnag and Srinagar” at the CUK.
