CUK holds workshop on ‘Raj Bhasha Hindi’
Srinagar, June 7: The Raj Bhasha Cell of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) today organised a one-day workshop on “Raj Bhasha Hindi” for the administrative staff of the varsity at its Nowgam-II block.
Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI) Deputy Director, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion while as Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar and Hindi Adhikari, Ms Sakina Akhter was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, enumerated the steps taken by the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) to promote Hindi. He said the varsity has organised several workshops to sensitize the employees about the language.
Prof. M Afzal Zargar said that several employees of the varsity have already passed the Prabodh and Praveen courses with flying colors. He said the employees have evinced keen interest in learning the language.
Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI) Deputy Director, Prof. Pradeep Kumar Sharma made a detailed power point presentation and highlighted the importance of Hindi and its usage world over. He asked the employees to learn Hindi and subsequently use it in day to day work. Prof. Pradeep said that after acknowledging the importance of Hindi, some countries, across the world have introduced the subject in their school curriculum.
Controller of Examinations, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar proposed the vote of thanks while as Ms Sakina Akhter conducted the programme proceedings.
