CUK faculty member completes In-Residence prog at Rashtrapati Bhawan
New Delhi, June 15: Mr. Bilal Ahmad Ganai, Coordinator, Department of Political Science, Central University of Kashmir, successfully completed a seven day long In-Residence Programme for the Inspired Teachers at Rashtrapati Bhawan from June 6 to 12, 2015.
The In-Residence programme for Inspired Teachers was announced by the Honorable President of India at the Annual Conference of Vice-Chancellors of the Central Universities on February 5, 2015.
The programme was studded with very enriching and brainstorming interactive sessions with the Hon'ble president of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Hon'ble Minister for Human Resource Development, Smt. Simriti Zubin Irani, decorated officers of the Rashtrapati Bhawan, Vice-chairmen of Nitiayog & UGC, officials of SBI, IBM, CII, Intel, Microsoft, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, IIT Kanpur, and bollywood superstar Mr. Amitabh Bachan.
The programme also included a visit to the different private universities. It was established during all these activities that in-spite of all the computer driven revolutions in the education sector, the role of the teacher still remains irreplaceable. Similar programmes already exist for writers, artists, grass root innovators and NIT students.
