CUK’s Deptt of Tourism studies signs MoU with DTT
Srinagar, Apr 7: The Department of Tourism Studies Central University of Kashmir (CUK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Tourism & Travel, Central University of Jammu (CUJ).
The function was attended by the Vice-Chancellors of both the Universities and other officials.
CUJ Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Devanand, expressed contentment and happiness on the efforts initiated by Heads of both the departments of the varsities and expressed his willingness to be active partners in the collaboration.
CUK officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj-udDin Mir, said the purpose of the MoU was to promote mutual cooperation in education and research activities and establish a framework for programmes of exchange and collaboration in areas of interest for mutual benefit.
Head, Department of Tourism, CUK, Prof. S. Fayyaz Ahmad, threw light on the key areas of mutual interests viz. faculty exchange programmes, inter-departmental visits, collaborative research & consultancy, joint conferences/workshops/seminars/symposia etc.
Head, Department of Tourism & Travel, CUJ, Prof. Deepak Raj Gupta gave a brief description about the areas of mutual collaboration.
The speeches were followed by the MoU signing ceremony between the Vice- Chancellors.
