3600 students appear in CUCET-2014
Srinagar, May 18: About 3600 students appeared in the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET-2014) for admission to various Post-Graduate and Research Programmes offered by the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) and other fellow Central Universities across India.
The entrance test was conducted on May 17 and 18 in six sessions.
The CUK and University of Kashmir officers and their allied staff were actively involved in the examination process which was hassle free, smooth and fair. No complaint was received from any quarters regarding the examination.
CUK’s officiating Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj-ud-Din, took stock of the examination process during his visit to various centers and was highly satisfied with the way examination was conducted. Prof. Muhammad Afzal Zargar, Registrar CUK, who was the CUK Nodal Officer for the examination also congratulated the whole team for their efforts and for making the examination process a fair and smooth. The extra effort put in by the supervisory staff was lauded by the Registrar. He also acknowledged the good work done by CUK Rajasthan, the nodal agency for conduct of CUCET and also the outsource agency that carried the entire process of examination with little blemishes.
Prof. Abdul Salam Bhat, Controller Examination University of Kashmir was the Chief Superintendent while as Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar, Controller Examination CUK, was the CUCET observer.
Incidentally under the aegis of CUCE, CUK had also conducted test for under graduate and integrated programmes including LLB few weeks back and the results of the same stand declared.
