15th meeting of UBC held at CUK
The meeting was attended by Prof. A M Pathan, former Vice-Chancellor, CUK Karnataka, Mr. Muhammad Amin Nowsheri, Retd. Chief Engineer (R&B), Mr. S P Singh, Executive Engineer CPWD, Prof. Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, Principal, SSM College of Engineering, Mr. Muneer Ahmad Khan, former chief architect, J&K Govt, Muhammad Rafiq, Zonal Incharge NBCC, Mr. Rakesh Pandita, representative M/s C P Kukreja, Mr. Rakesh Sharma, A.E CPWD, Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar and I/c Finance Officer, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Gilkar.

                                                                    

While welcoming the guests, officiating VC, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir briefed them about the status of the construction work of the university campus at Ganderbal. He shared a comprehensive status report of various activities regarding campus development at Ganderbal with the members. Detailing about the issues confronting the site, the Vice-Chancellor, sought suggestions from the members to explore the possibility of speedy construction of the campus for the university. He also highlighted the difficulties faced by the University in the absence of appropriate campus for the varsity which is also affecting the students and academic atmosphere.

Prof. A M Pathan also suggested ways and measures with regards to the construction of the University campus. He said the University campus should cater to all the needs of the students.

Registrar, Prof. M Afzal Zargar, while addressing the UBC members informed them about the measure taken for establishment of Pre Engineered Buildings at the designated campus. The members later had a detailed discussion about the progress of construction activities and made various resolutions in this regard.
