BTF members interact with CUK VC, faculty:

Ganderbal, May 1: The Department of Tourism Studies in collaboration with the Department of Legal Studies organised an interactive session with members of the Bangladesh Tourism Foundation (BTF) at Green Campus, CUK on 30th of April 2019. The team was headed by the President of Bangladesh Tourism Foundation (BTF), Prof. Mokhtesur Rahman, who is a senior faculty in the Department of Tourism & Hospitality Management, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibu Rahman Science and Technology University, Gopalgang, Bangladesh. Besides, a galaxy of 50 lawyer delegates of Bangladesh Supreme Court were the part of the team. The team was  accompanied by Dr. Reyaz Qureshi, Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Tourism Studies, University of Kashmir.

The main objective of the event was to have an interactive session of Bangladesh Tourism Foundation team with the faculty and research fellows of both the departments of tourism and legal studies. The theme of the session revolved around the tourism environmental laws, conservation and preservation of heritage.

Coordinator, Department of Tourism Studies, Dr. Ramjit in his welcome address extended a warm and affectionate welcome to the gathering and expressed his gratitude to the members of the team.

Hon'ble Vice Chancellor (CUK), Prof Mehraj-ud-Din Mir in his address extended a warm welcome to the members of BTF and hailed the team for visiting Kashmir Valley. He had a detailed interactive session with the team. Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor insisted that such kind of events should be organised in a more formal ways and MoU’s should be signed with such organisations so that  a faculty/students exchange programmes could take place in near future.

Dean School of Sciences, Prof. M Afzal Zargar also spoke on the occasion and hailed both the departments for organising such a grand interactive meet.

Prof. Mokhtesur Rahman, President Bangladesh Tourism Foundation, expressed his deep  gratitude to the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor and praised his intellectual honesty and amiable behaviour. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the CUK fraternity for providing such a great kind of platform to the team in  sharing their thoughts and experiences.

Coordinator, Department of Legal Studies, Ms. Gulafroz Jan proposed the vote of thanks at the end.
